A family of tool steel blades has been developed using A2 tool steel, hardened to 58RC to provide exceptional toughness and avoiding the edge chip-out problems associated with steels that are fully hardened to 61RC+. The steel MPK's are pre-coated with titanium aluminum nitride and a high sheer coating to provide long term corrosion resistance. There is a non-coated 12 inch version upon request.
The Multi Purpose Knife in A2 tool steel, comes in two different sizes, serrated or non-serrated. The handles are the same hytrel/kevlar grip as the MPK-Ti and injection molded onto a full tang that will not pull off. It provides the same comfortable easy grip desired by the US Navy SEAL's. The 15 and 9 inch versions are currently out of stock.
