The MPU was initially designed for the Special Operations and SWAT communities that needed a knife small enough to strap to the forearm or tuck into a boot and capable of being an efficient secondary weapon.. The skeletonized handle has attachment holes which offer a lighter/slimmer knife. This utility blade makes for a great neck, dive and multi-purpose knife. It will not leave rust marks from perspiration when carried around the neck. The knife is offered in an all titanium construction and is also available in 440C stainless steel. A kydex sheath and tek-lok is included and detachable handles will soon be available.
